They did it again, they always did it. She was tired of their judgment, their accusations, turning all to their selfish aims.
“Why not stop listening?” She implored. “Because we’re better than that.”
She wanted to rail, to tell them how much they hurt, how their support was so lacking. Those who pretended to so much.
“Just tell them?” She suggested. “But we’re better than that.”
But they hurt us every time, every time come back with more. Making their own lives so much safer with their condemnation and their blame.
“Accuse them!” She demanded. “But then we’re just the same as them.”
